A-freaking-hoj
It was another long week. I thought the weeks would go by fast, but so far they've been pretty slow.
Tuesday we got to go to Prague and pick up the laptop that we are using for our social media assignment. It's been helpful having it. Also we got to see a few of the other missionaries while we were there, and that was super nice.
Last week the bishop here called and made me a counselor in the Relief Society presidency. So that's been fun trying to figure out how to do that on top of everything. I'm definitely learning how to prioritize my time.
We cleaned a storage room in the church this week. We found so much whack stuff haha. Most of it was either Halloween or Christmas decorations. I always love cleaning the church. It's a fun game of "what kind of things will I find that will give me nightmares?"
We had exchanges...over videocall. It was actually pretty successful for being over technology. The STLs had stuff planned, and we did a study, interviews, a practice, and called a member. It went better than I thought it was going to.
We have this random bird that keeps showing up on our balcony. He either runs into the window, or he walks up to it and taps on it with his beak. Not sure what he wants. He probs just wants warmth cause it's freaking 2°C here.
Today we went to this castle about 15 minutes from where we live. Literally 15 minutes away is a castle. I freaking love this country. It was nice to get out, and it was super cool with the fog.
Spiritual Thought:
One of our English students taught us a new phrase this week:
Všechno špatně je pro něco dobré.
It roughly translates to "everything bad is for something good."
Basically it just means that every bad thing that happens is good for something. You can use the bad things to your advantage. You're gonna go through rough times whether you want to or not. You might as well get something good from it. So look for the good or look for how you can use the bad to your advantage. Nothing is a waste if you learn from it.
Love you guys! Have a great week! Enjoy the heat.
